Sleep Concerns for People with Intellectual Disability

This training focuses on addressing sleep concerns when supporting people with intellectual disabilities, organized under the following goals and objectives:  Explore current thoughts on the importance of sleep to overall health, Discuss different types of sleep-related concerns, Examine specific sleep-related difficulties for people with ID and/or certain genetic conditions and/or autism spectrum disorder, Discuss an array of potential supports and program adjustments that may lead to better quality sleep for people in our services, and Provide a brief introduction to a screening tool for sleep-related concerns.
