In this course, we’ll:

  • Examine and underline definitions and historical/current concepts of risk, dignity, care, and rights.
  • Explore how ‘dignity’ may be a concept that is intertwined between therapist actions and individual outcomes.
  • Discuss how experiences during Covid restrictions may be used as a mirror for our systems of support.
  • Examine how increasing choice, increases positive outcomes.
  • Discuss these topics in regard to special circumstances such as young adults and substance use concerns.
  • Explore a model of decision-making regarding these concepts.
