The Managed
Care Services Grant was developed in 2004-2005
to address issues of coordinated systems of care for
children with autism spectrum disorders. This one year
project had the following principle objectives:
- Identify barriers to diagnosis,
early identification, access to care and financing
of services for persons with ASD
- Research and compile information
on existing models of service and best practice guidelines
in ASD
- Develop an action plan for
New Mexico
- Disseminate the action plan
- Discuss applicability of model
of services for persons with ASD to other groups of
individuals with intense service needs.
