Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation (ANE) Refresher

This online refresher course serves as an alternative to the in-person, six-hour classroom training offered by certified ANE trainers. The course enhances students’ ability to recognize possible abuse and includes real examples of reports made to DHI’s Hotline. The course also re-familiarizes participants with the New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC) which outlines roles and responsibilities for mandatory reporting of ANE.

This refresher course is only for those who have successfully completed the in-person version and who are in need of annual recertification.

Completing all modules is required prior to taking the competency. When you have completed all of the modules, click on the “Competency Assessment” link at the bottom of the page. You’ll enter your unique database ID and password and begin the assessment. You must answer a minimum of twenty three of the twenty six questions to pass. Your successful completion of the course will then go on your transcript.
