Children’s Medical Services

Children’s Medical Services (CMS) program provides services for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disabling conditions in children. It is a statewide program within the Department of Health, Public Health Division. CMS serves children from birth to 21 with chronic illnesses or medical conditions that require surgical or medical treatment.

CYFD Child Care Assistance Program

Subsidizes the cost of child care for low-income families (at or below 200% of the federal poverty level) that are working and/or in school and have a need for child care.

Early Childhood Evaluation Program (ECEP)

Evaluations for children ages birth to 3 living in NM. ECEP addresses concerns regarding developmental delay, complex medical conditions, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, behavioral/regulatory issues, and other specialized evaluation questions for very young children.

Early Childhood Therapies

In addition to Early Intervention Programs provided by the state of New Mexico, your child may be eligible for additional therapy in a clinic setting. Children often benefit from intensive doses of therapy, which can be achieved by participating in Early Intervention in your home as well as early childhood therapy in a clinic setting.
