Circulation Services

LINC currently offers the most comprehensive collection of disability resources in all of New Mexico. Books, videos and kits may be borrowed for a period of two weeks and may be renewed upon request. Journals and reference books are not available for loan, but may be photocopied in the library. For individuals who live in remote communities of New Mexico and are unable to visit our location, materials may be posted to your address. CONTACT US for more information.

Reference Librarian Assistance

LINC librarians are available to help you with information requests regarding disabilities and will assist you in retrieving information from our collection of reference books, circulating books, videos and journals. Questions may be answered in person, by phone, mail, e-mail or through LINC's ASK A LIBRARIAN service.

Literature Searches

LINC's Literature Search Service is available for those researching a particular topic. Searches will only be conducted on subjects related to development and disability. Search results may include citations, abstracts and/or full text articles. Please allow 48 hours for a response to each search request. CONTACT US for more information.

Interlibrary Loan

If you are unable to locate the resources you are seeking within LINC's collection, LINC has the ability to access full text journal articles located at other libraries. Interlibrary loan requests may take between three and ten days to process. CONTACT US for more information.

Fully accessible computer workstation

This workstation is available for public use and is equipped with many special features to serve people with disabilities.

These features include:

· Adjustable table for height accommodation
· Adjustable and
· Ergonomic keyboard tray
· Trackball mouse and touch screen options for navigation
· Assistive Technology (AT) software such as Jaws screen reader and Magic screen magnification and speech.

All assistive technology software is synchronized to work together and in combination and with the Internet.

LINC has received high praise from patrons and AT users on the quality and the useability of the workstation.
