The CDD Resource Center brings together comprehensive resources and services to address the diverse information needs of agency and CDD staff, persons with or at risk for having developmental disabilities, families and advocates, and community members. The Resource Center features a collection of over 3,000 books, videocassettes, audiocassettes and training manuals, 50 periodical titles, and a collection of brochures, pamphlets and articles on current issues. A video viewing area and an Internet workstation are available in the Resource Center for use by visitors. Research assistance and computerized literature searches are available on request. NO Walls (NOW) is a community technology center which increases the capacity of person with disabilities, their families, service providers, teachers, and advocates in the Albuquerque metropolitan area to use computer technology to access information which increases their choices and enhances their ability to provide services and supports. NOW also supports the general Albuquerque population in accessing information about human development and disabilities using computer technology. By offering these services and supports, NOW facilitates building inclusive communities, which encourage full participation across barriers and enhance the accessibility and delivery of information to all. This is a three- year award from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education.
