Request a Library Card

To become a CDD Library patron, sign up for a library registration card. New Mexico Residents may visit the CDD Library in person, or request a registration card to be mailed to you.

To sign up for a library card online:

  1. Go to this page.
  2. Click on Register Now.

  3. Complete the self-registration form by creating a User ID, and entering information such as name, address, telephone number, email, etc.

  4. Click Register to complete the process.
  5. The Library will send a newly assigned 4 digit patron User ID number via email or telephone, it may take up to 24-hours to receive the library patron User ID number.

How do I check-out materials?

Books, eBooks, videos, and DVDs may be checked out to patrons who have a CDD Library card.

Check-out procedures:

  • You may check out items for 8 weeks.
  • Materials may be renewed for another 4 weeks, if no one has placed a hold on the item.
  • For patrons outside Albuquerque, materials may be mailed free of charge to a home or office. Free postage-paid mailers are included to mail the items back.
  • Requests for information or materials can be made in person, by phone, or by email.
