Accomplishments
The Information Center for New Mexicans with Disabilities and BabyNet is a member of the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS), a national organization dedicated to providing leadership and support to advance the capacity of the information and referral industry. Staffing includes a Resource Specialist with national certification as an Information and Referral Specialist, along with Spanish speaking staff.To respond to the needs of callers, Resource Specialists utilize a database of over 4,000 agencies and sites. A full-time database coordinator works to update information and keep resources current.
The Information Center strives to provide high quality information and services in a timely and effective manner to users throughout the State of New Mexico.To measure the extent to which we accomplish this, we conduct random satisfaction surveys to collect specific data that monitors the level of satisfaction of our users.
The data below highlights results from these surveys:
- 96% of respondents reported a level of satisfaction with the information provided
- 99% of respondents reported that the resource specialist was courteous and respectful
- 88% of respondents reported that the information they received helped them find other resources and/or services
- 94% of respondents reported that they would use, and/or refer the Information Center to others in the future
