One family purchased a new bed, dresser and needed clothing for their son. We had an old bed that was breaking and a dresser that was falling apart. His clothes were too small. These items have really improved our sons life.
Another family had to drive their son back and forth to a specialized school each day a 70 mi. round trip. Their car was in dire need of repair and their ability to continue to drive their son to school was jeopardized. The family reported, We did some needed work on our car. Now she can go in and out, take a shower and use the sink without help. These are important for a ten year old to do on her own. She has more independence at home and increased self-esteem.
