The Family and Community Partnership Division directly supports the Center for Development’s mission to promote active participation of individuals with disabilities and their families in their communities.

Our Vision

Individuals with disabilities and their families live in fully inclusive communities enjoying an optimal quality of life.

Our Mission

In support of the mission of the Center for Development and Disability, the Family and Community Partnership Division strives to work together with individuals with disabilities, members of their families, state and local government agencies and community providers on projects and programs that include:

  • Training
  • Community Program Development
  • Technical Assistance
  • Direct Services
  • Information Sharing
     The Division’s projects and programs are intended to develop and increase capacity by:
  • Engaging individuals and their families in making life choices
  • Partnering with communities to build resources
  • Improving systems of care
