The Family and Community Partnership Division directly supports the Center for Development’s mission to promote active participation of individuals with disabilities and their families in their communities.
Individuals with disabilities and their families live in fully inclusive communities enjoying an optimal quality of life.
In support of the mission of the Center for Development and Disability, the Family and Community Partnership Division strives to work together with individuals with disabilities, members of their families, state and local government agencies and community providers on projects and programs that include:
"Family support programs make use of structured services and supports, as well as informal or natural supports from friends, neighbors, extended family or others in the community."
