Before You Begin | Syllabus | Navigation Syllabus Course Title:Functional Behavior and Positive Supports, an online web course. Course Purpose:The course utilizes the DISCUSS model developed at the Health Science Center, School of Medicine Center for Development and Disability. It was developed to promote functionally-based assessments within school settings to help promote positive behavior in students. Course Sponsor:The University of New Mexico, School of Education will offer this course for 3 graduate or undergraduate credit hours or Continuing Education Units. The University of New Mexico Center for Development and Disability developed this web course through funding provided by the New Mexico State Department of Education Special Education Unit and the Albuquerque Public Schools. There is no cost to take the course unless you wish credit through the University of New Mexico. Objectives of the Functional Behavior and Positive Supports Course.
