Overview of the REACH Telehealth Project
Project Purpose
Improve healthcare outcomes for young children who demonstrate
developmental issues, as well as their families and the providers who serve
them, by improving accessibility, providing needed ongoing consultation and
training, and by cutting costs for families and providers who thereby do not
have to travel to distant tertiary centers of expertise.
Project Outcomes
- Families and providers receive services when they want
it and where they live
- Specialty care is provided in a cost-effective and satisfactory
manner that is a viable alternative to extended travel typically needed
for such services and training
- Sustainable Telehealth Network will connect and support
rural communites

Eligibility
The REACH project provides services and supports to New
Mexico families of children with developmental disabilities and the providers
who serve them. REACH receives referrals from network
community partners and services are available at partner sites.

(i.e., travel and time) by families, providers, and consultants
