About Quality ChildCare for All
Through support from New Mexico Children, Youth and Family Department and the New Mexico Public Education Department, quality, inclusive childcare is promoted through a variety of initiatives including:
- Regional support of the Training and Technical Assistance Programs (TTAPs) working with AIM High child care sites in New Mexico. Current areas served include Roswell and Las Cruces.
- Targeted support to all TTAP programs statewide through focused training.
- Quality Childcare for ALL task force which addressed differential rates paid to child care providers for eligible children with special needs, special assistance, and program quality assurance. Click here to view the latest task force report.
- Technical support and coordination of the Child Care Inclusion Specialists (CCIS), a newly funded position which will have representation at all 8 TTAP sites. The CCISs will support the inclusion of children with special needs in early childhood environments around the state.
