Heidi Fredine joined the Division of Disability and Health Policy in April 2003, the year after earning her Masters in Public Health from UNM. She has a long, indescript official title, but usually goes by Lead Researcher or Goddess of Epidemiology. Heidi works on various state and federally funded projects, primarily designing surveys, performing program evaluation and running statistical analyses. Most recently her time is happily consumed with the analysis of a large, population-based study evaluating the prevalence of paralysis in the US. This project is funded by the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. When she’s not crunching numbers, Heidi chases after her little ones and scans eBay for deals.
