Community Rooms: Definitions of TermsElectronic mail (email) is the oldest form of internet application and the lowest common denominator. It's a safe bet to say that anyone who has Internet access of any kind has email capability. Anybody with an email address can mail anybody else, regardless of the hardware or software they use Generally, email consists of text messages sent from one person to another. However, using attachments you can "attach" any sort of computer files to your messages and so send graphics, spreadsheets, programs : anything. The attachments are encoded in a textual form at the sender's end and decoded again by the receiver.
