We are very pleased to announce that The New Mexico Project for Children and Youth with Deafblindness website was a winner in the EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) contest for universal web design. Web Sites were evaluated both on their general attractiveness and HTML design as well as their accessibility for people with Disabilities. EASI bears full responsibility for its decisions. EASI awarded us with several assistive technology resources listed in our Resources section and available through the CDD Resource library. They also thanked us for setting an example for other web designers to follow. We would like to acknowledge and express our thanks to all those who have been so very helpful by providing both information and inspiration to us (whether they were aware of it or not) in getting both our project and this web site up and running. This includes, but is not limited to, NTAC, The Arizona Deafblind Project, The Nevada Dual Sensory Impairment Project, and the A-Z to Deafblindness web site. We are excited to join the many fantastic organizations involved in this web community for individuals with deafblindness.
