Preschool Teacher at the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Special education degree with emphasis in early childhood visual impairment including children with severe disabilities and deafblindness. Consultant to the New Mexico Deafblind project. Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Presentations for Albuquerque Public Schools, the CASA D/HH Conference (Community and School Awareness for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing including the Deafblind), Magic Years, and VIISA (Vision Inservice In America Training). National certification as instructor of the visually impaired. Distance education course development in deafblindness. Facilitator of the distance education course "Assessments and Interventions: Case Studies in Deafblindness."

Personal reason for working in this area and consulting to project

Strong belief that all children need support and opportunities to become the best they can be. Desire to make a difference for families and children. Continued growth in areas of vision and dual sensory impairment, mentoring and facilitating adult education.
