The Center for Development and Disability Project for New Mexico Children and Youth Who Are Deafblind is a statewide program designed to provide technical assistance, training, distance education, and networking information to families, service providers, and individuals birth through 21, who are deafblind. A toll free number (877) 614-4051 and this interactive web site are available to families, service providers, and others interested in obtaining and sharing information statewide. Basic demographic and statistical information is maintained on individuals, birth through 21 years old throughout the State to assist with identification of needs for program development, training and research. Project personnel work closely with State and local agencies to coordinate service delivery, disseminate information regarding optimal practice interventions and facilitate improved outcomes by children and youth who are deaf-blind.
