The Beginnings of Communication

READ:
"The Beginnings of Communication: Early Childhood" in Hand-In-Hand - Module 7 pp. 186-218.

OFF-LINE

READ the Summary of "The Beginnings of Communication: Early Childhood." Module 7 in Hand-In-Hand. 

ON-LINE

If you feel that you need a hard copy you may print out the summary by clicking on the printer icon at the top of the page or clicking on file and selecting the print option and following the directions. If you prefer, you can use the key strokes <ctrl> <P>. (Hold the control key down and press the letter P at the same time to get to the print menu. Follow the instructions and print by clicking on <ok>.)

DEVELOP your student's or child's Communication Profile by completing the Communication Profile Questionnaire. (Persons working on a team or group must each complete one section of the Communication Profile. Discuss the assignments of sections via your most accessible mode of communication. (e.g., team or group room in VCC, in person if you work together, telephone, etc.))  

OFF-LINE and
Communication Profile Questionnaire is ON-LINE

POST one of your Communication Profile findings in the VCC in the Communication Profile Room and respond to someone else's profile. (Remember be positive and if possible, give examples when describing an experience.) If you are on a team or in a group remember each person should contribute to a different question on the profile. Discuss who will answer which question in your team or group room in the VCC.
