SESSION 13
Final

First, make sure you have the permission form signed by parents or guardians that give you permission to record a video of their child. (Use form that is used in your district, if not use form provided here.)

Second, a single person (university student taking the course) should record a video of his or her student. The video recording should not exceed 10 minutes. A team of persons working with one student should record a viedo at least 5 minutes for each person participating in course. Each person is required to identify a different communicative intent.

USE THE MEDIUM OF YOUR CHOICE TO RECORD A VIDEO OF YOUR CHILD:

VHS OR DVD USING VARIOUS ELECTRONIC RECORDING EQUIPMENT

(IF EMAILING A FILE, REMEMBER TO CHECK THE FILE SIZE AS SOME EMAIL SERVICES WILL NOT PERMITT LARGE SIZED FILES!)

Third, review video recording. Look for communication intent produced by student. Identify one. (A group of persons working together can at this time review the tape together and discuss the different communication intents exhibited by their student.)

Fourth, using the "Student Profile," "Functional Analysis," and/or "Communication Profile" (created for the student), formulate a written description of one communication intent observed on the video recording. (If a team is completing the final together, please identify which person's description goes with which part of the video recording or provide the order of communication intents being described by each.)

Fifth, mail or email the video recording and written description to be received by NO LATER DECEMBER 14TH, 2007 to:

Toni Trujillo
211 Blue Sky Lane
Mesilla Park, NM 88047
