To keep you updated with activities taking place through the CSPD efforts on the Navajo Nation, I am sending you a “Friday Fax” with information about current and upcoming professional development activities.

Current Events

This past week, training and technical assistance was provided as follows:

• An on-site school visit was conducted with the Chi Chil’tah Day School (November 14) to discuss professional development training activities for the school staff this school year.
• An on-site school visit was conducted today (November 18) with the Cove Day School and the T’iisnazbas Communty School (November 18) to discuss professional development training activities for the school staff this school year.
• Discussion and plans are also in progress with Crystal Boarding School for professional development activities for their academic staff in the spring of 2006.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, next week’s Friday fax will be sent out on Wednesday, November 23.

Upcoming Events:

November 18, 2005.

On-Site school visit with Cove Day School and T’iisnazbas Community School to discuss professional development training activities.

November 18–19, 2005

The Teaching of Reading class for teaching staff at Wide Ruins Community School.

November 24-25, 2005.

The Improving Communities of Practice office (UNM) will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.

December 5-6, 2005.

On-site monitoring of UNM CSPD contract by the Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center (MPRRC).
