Chinda Lucoski, Regional Family Specialists

City: Alamagordo, NM
CLucoski@salud.unm.edu

Chinda was born in Bangkok, Thailand and raised in Logan, Utah. She received a psychology degree from New Mexico State University in 1990. She worked and lived in the military community for the more than 20 years. People know her as a yoga instructor, health and wellness specialist and massage therapist. According to her the most challenging and rewarding role is being a mother of an individual with autism, seeing her daughter growing up as a productive member of the community; riding public transportation to work, go to fitness center to workout, get her hair and nail appointment bi-weekly, go to weekly meeting with her friends and praying for world peace. Watching her using adaptive skills to cope and trying hard to adjust to the constant changes of daily life have giving Chinda a new sense of hope and determination to help others families overcome obstacles autism may brings. Chinda is an active member of Rotary Club. She is has been married for 30 years.
