Examples of assistive technology services
through the CDD/AT Program include:
Project
for New Mexico Children and Youth Who Are Deafblind
Assistive Technology Program staff
work in collaboration with the New Mexico DeafBlind Project to
provide technical assistance and information on assistive technology
solutions for children and youth who are deafblind, their families and
service providers. Staff also provide material for interactive
on-line courses through input into solution focused
case studies designed to teach applications of assistive technology as
part of a total educational program.
Early
Childhood Network
As an integral part of the Early Childhood Network,
Assistive Technology Program staff provide ongoing technical
assistance and training for the 30 statewide community programs
serving children birth to three and their families.
Individual, on-site assessment of young children is available to
the community programs as training on specific
devices and the opportunity
to access the loan bank.
Information on assistive
technology and young
children is provided in the
Early Childhood Updates
monthly.
