Case 2a: Esperanza

Bullet Objectives

The learner will:

Diamond List the common effects that hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (anoxia) at birth has on the child.

Diamond Explore the cumulative impact that multiple disabilities (motor, cognitive, and sensory) have on learning and the development of the child.

Diamond Discuss the concept of least restrictive environment for children with multiple disabilities.

Diamond Learn a variety of intervention strategies for children with multiple disabilities.

Diamond Learn to include and value family’s goals/desires for their child.
