More about the Resource Center

The CDD Resource Center features a collection of approximately 3,000 books, video cassettes, audio cassettes and training manuals, and 50 periodical titles. Resource Center collection is strong in the subject areas of developmental disabilities and assessment, diagnostics, education, programming, therapies, and services for persons with special needs. The collection also contains materials on facilitation, management, training, education, business, and self-management.

In January of 1998 the CDD Resource Center and the New Mexico Developmental Disabilities Library (formerly housed at the Los Lunas Center for Persons with Developmental Disabilities) merged. Now New Mexico's leading information service in the area of developmental disabilities can be accessed at one location, at 2300 Menaul Blvd. NE in Albuquerque. The CDD Resource Center is funded by the New Mexico Department of Health, Long Term Services Division.

Services
Services include an Internet workstation for customers, a video viewing area, research assistance, and computerized literature searches. Circulating materials are loaned free of charge to registered borrowers for a period of two weeks. To borrow materials, you may visit the Resource Center or call to request they are sent to you by mail.

Location
The Resource Center is located in Albuquerque, NM at Midtown Center, 2300 Menaul Blvd. NE, Room 310.

Hours
The Resource Center is open Monday - Friday from 9 am to 12 noon and 1 to 5 pm. The Resource Center is closed on weekends and all official UNM holidays.
