Director of Educational Leadership
To keep you updated with activities taking place through
the CSPD efforts on the Navajo Nation, I am sending you a “Friday Fax”
with information about current and upcoming professional development activities.
Current Events
This past week, training and technical assistance was provided
as follows:
- Last Saturday (October 15), thirty-one home living assistants from Chinle
Agency attended the fifth and final class of ECME 115 – Guidance of
Young Children at Many Farms High School. To conclude, a follow-up on-site
visit will be scheduled to each of the four schools that sent residential
staff to the class. A big thank you goes out to the MFHS principal for permitting
this class to be held at the high school library. It was wonderful facilities.
This class also would not have been possible without the genuine support
of the agency education lline office and the special education office.
- Follow-up on-site visits were conducted this past week to the four Chinle
Agency schools that sent participants to the residential staff training:
Pinon Community School (October 17); Nazlini Community School (October 18);
Many Farms High School (October 19); and Lukachukai Community School (October
20). The purpose of the on-site visits was to assess the impact of the class
as the home-living assistants are now back in the work routine.
