To keep you updated with activities taking place through
the CSPD efforts on the Navajo Nation, I am sending you a “Friday Fax”
with information about current and upcoming professional development activities.
Current Events
This past week, training and technical assistance was provided
as follows:
- A representative of the NAU/IHD Improving Communities
of Practice office participated in the second annual Child Find Fair held
at Rough Rock Community School on May 17.
- A meeting was held May 18 with the Eastern Navajo Agency
staff to discuss the implementation of three Project IDEAS training activities.
- A reprensentative of the NAU/IHD Improving Communities
of Practice office participated in an IDEA 2004 Overview held at Northern
Arizona University on May 18.
- A BEST-School Wide Positive Behavior Support training/follow-up
was conducted at the Kaibeto Boarding School for residential and academic
staff.
- The UNM/NAU held their quarter meeting at the Seba Dalkai
Boarding School to discuss various education research issues as it pertains
to professional development activities for school staff.
- Technical assistance was provided to the BIA/OIEP/CSI
regarding the summer residential institute.
