Library and Information Network for the Community (LINC) - Then and Now

Molly at the CDD Library and Information NetworkIn 1996, the Library and Information Network for the Community began as a small library focusing on the field of disability and special healthcare needs with fewer than 500 books.

In 2010 the CDD's Information Network is a multifaceted program serving the needs of New Mexico's disability community statewide. The Network includes a free lending library with over 6,000 materials including books, CDs and journals; an information and referral service providing assistance via phone and internet: and a web-based public access site. The Network responds to over 10,000 requests for information and referral each year.
